I Am an Exponent of Myself is an ongoing series of video, performance, and multimedia projects all based around the theme of connection and identity.

It began in 2006 as a costume that I built with the idea of creating a wearable sculpture that would connect with the outside world via a network of tentacles that had hooks on the end. 

​

Over the years, I have experimented with this costume; wearing it in a variety of locations, including in the desert, in the forest, on the streets of Manhattan, and even as a stage performance in which I suspended myself in the air on a chain hoist and attached the tentacles to a built multimedia environment.
