We are swirling and tethered is inspired by the NYC waterfront. The forms echo tidal rythms and the migrations of humans, animals, and microbial life within this estuarial ecosystem. The sculpture is made up of five segments that wrap around the column in a wave of color and form. Made from steel, fabric, rope, mirrored acrylic, and found industrial remnants, the sculpture spirals upward, casting shifting reflections that remind us that our movements ripple through the surrounding waters.
